Why play a spiritmaster in Aion?

You should pick this character if you like the mage classes more than the others and if you're good in controlling servants. As a spiritmaster, you will have under your control the spirits of wind, water, earth and fire. You will be able to have summoned only one spirit at a time, but that certain spirit will help you through combat. You can basically put your pet to attack and do nothing, but you can also help your pet to kill that target by debuffing it or dealing damage.

Aion Spiritmaster Guide for PvE:

In pve, player versus environment, the spiritmaster's job is quite easy. You summon the spirit that you want and you command it to attack a certain mob. You can play on spiritmaster as a debuffer or a damage dealer. You have DOTS spells, which means that you can put debuffs on the enemies that will decrease their hp over time. You can also have the option to play as a damage dealer, so you will not use dots just spells that do instant damage (dps).

If you see that some mobs have high ressist to one of your attributes, for example fire, then you will summon your water spirit. Also, you should take in consideration that not all your spirits are the same.

Fire Spirit - a powerful spirit that can sometimes also tank, but not as good as the earth spirit.
Water Spirit - can be used to deal damage, but check the enemy's ressist to water attribute first.
Earth Spirit - can be used to tank, in case you don't have a tank in party or if you're fighting stronger mobs.
Wind Spirit - same as the water spirit, it deals damage.

Aion Spiritmaster Guide in PvP:

In pvp, the spiritmaster's role is important because this class has lots of useful debuffs: you can silence your enemies, you can give them fear and even remove them some buffs. Also, you have dots spells that can make your enemy's job more difficult and you can deal pure damage meanwhile. Another thing to take in consideration when talking about spiritmaster in pvp is that this class can also summon a minion that will also deal damage.

As a spiritmaster, in pvp you also have the option to ressurect your cleric or other party members because your spirit will keep your opponents busy.

 The weak point of a spiritmaster is the fact that the spirits cannot fly, so you will have to somehow force your enemy to fight near the ground. If the spirits could fly, the spiritmaster class would have been to overpowered.
